Vacation Pictures

This is Taos Ski Valley where mom went on vacation last weekend. See the ski slopes in the distance. Mom said she stayed in the loft suite right at the end of the bridge.
Here is a picture taken from the window of where mom stayed. She said it was so relaxing to listen to the brook as she slept. The Alpine Suites where she stayed is "pet friendly" and pets can come with their people. I think she should have taken us. See the brook by the tree.
Here is one of the mousies that the Cat Diva gave me. Well, this is one she gave to Tommy but I'm sure she meant for me to have it.
Here is a yellow mousie the Cat Diva gave me. I did share this one with Tommy for awhile but just had to take it to one of my 20 favorite hiding places so I would have it available later for more play.

Mom's Home!

We had a really good vacation and had a really good time with the Cat Diva. I'm a little shy with new people but warmed up to her and I absolutely love the mice she gave us. Didn't get any sardine pizza like our Poi Cat friends suggested but the cat nip mice made up for it.

Mom says she had a great time and for spring skiing it was phenomenal because the first day up it snowed all night and all day and there was about t foot of new powder and on Saturday night there were a bunch of fireworks. Doesn't sound as much fun as mousies with catnip.

Spring Skiing in Taos

Yesterday I was all worried when I saw mom beginning to pack her suitcase. She hasn't done that since we moved to our new place and Tommy has never seen her do this. Usually when mom packs it means she's going to put me into my dreaded cat carrier and take me to the "kitty spa" (also known as the Feline Inn).

Mom told us it was O.K. We get to stay home and she will be back after three long night sleeps and lots and lots of day naps. A lady called the Cat Diva is coming to take care of us and play with us. She came to visit us yesterday and talked to my mom. I was scared at first and hid under the bed but Tommy went right up to her and asked who she was and she talked to him. Tommy came back to the bedroom and told me she was nice so I came out to meet her. She had a bag of catnip with little mice inside and she gave us one.

I think we will have a good vacation at home too.

Lazy Weekend

Didn't do much this weekend except the usual eating, sleeping and fighting. Here's a picture of us eating. Mom says we look a little fat. I say it's an optical illusion because the kitchen is so small.

Paying Bills

Shilgiah said I could post today. I just want to make it clear that she is not the only helper in the family. When mom pays bills she likes to throw the envelops and other paper stuff that will get shredded onto the floor while she is working on the bills. My job is to assiduously guard these papers until they go to the shredder. It's a hard job but somebody's got to do it. Of course, mom could pay her bills by computer but then I'd be out of a job.

Now...How did that happen?

I don't know what happened but I had a page element called Helping Cats and Their People with a link to Albuquerque Cat Action Team. When I first put it up it was fine and even a few friends said it worked fine. Then, just this week mom went to it to see which foster kitties had found homes and lo and behold the site was some sort of other site that looked like a dating service site!? So, this morning mom deleted that page element. None of us have any idea how that could happen. Anybody got any ideas how a page element link could get changed?

Helping on Wash Day

I enjoy helping on laundry day. Often my job is to test the "wrinkle resistance" of freshly washed clothes. These clothes don't need to be ironed.

Tommy's Teasing Me

Tommy sometimes teases me because I don't have a tail. Just the other day he was sticking his tongue out and saying "Na na na na-na I have a tail and you don't!" Hurts my feelings when he teases me.

Friday Friends

This is my mousie friend. We like to chat about lots of things. Just yesterday we were discussing the finer points of relaxation and why people seem not to know how to do it very well. Mousie said that people are too worried about a thing called "time" and that because of this and thinking there is never enough of it, the people rush around trying to fit everything into it. Well, I think that's silly. So does mousie. I think this "time" thing should stop and then people can just stop rushing around and take more naps and other important things.
