Grooming in Tandem

While mom was skiing, Tommy and I decided to have a grooming session. Usually, we begin by Tommy grooming me which quickly ends in a wrestling session. However, this time we decided to groom ourselves. This may not be as exciting as skiing, but we keep very clean.

Tommy checks between his toes to make sure there is no schmutz there.

We clean our faces next.

I began cleaning my tummy while Tommy who has a big head finishes his face.

That was exhausting! How 'bout a nap? Zzzzzzzzzz

Have a warm and wonderful week to come!

We got Hope a Year Ago

My sister Hope became a member of our family last year on January 20, 2009. It has been a very interesting year for all of us but one thing for sure our lives have been enriched by Hope being part of our family.

This is a picture of Hope the first day she came to our house. She was looking out the doors to the balcony. She'd been abandoned and was very very very hungry! She had her first vet visit later that afternoon.

This is Hope now. She's become a pretty nice sister. She and I sometimes hiss at each other and sometimes bat the air between us when we are trying to play "I'm the prettiest princess!"..."No! I'm the prettiest princess!"

We will have a Gotcha Day Party on Wednesday Evening after mom gets home from work. Then, on Friday (don't tell Hope) she goes to see Dr. Jeff for her check-up and shots.

Have a wonderful and happy week everyone!

O.K. it doesn't rhyme but it was funny to watch!

Have a wonderful week everyone!

Mixed Feelings

Hi Hope here. Our mom is going back to work tomorrow after having been off for a long long long time. Shilgiah says it has been 11 days. She was off that long because her company makes people take "use it or lose it" time before each new year happens. Soooo...we have been getting lots of mom time and some of our other people friends have been by from time to time to say hi and pet us.

I prefer napping during the day so I can wake mom up bright and early-thirty each morning. But since she has been home she seems to get upset when I get her up in the morning. I can't understand why?

That's why I have mixed feelings. I like it when mom is home but I don't like it that she doesn't want to get up at her normally early hour. Oh well, I guess it will be fun to wake her up tomorrow and she won't push me off the bed and grumble that she needs to sleep more.

Have a great week everyone! Oh, and Happy Twenty-Ten!!
