Excitment

Aside from the buggies and moths and other fun flying stuff that comes into our balcony, I have finally spotted the bird nest under the eaves of the balcony.
Here, I'm looking at a moth but not far away, just on the other side of our screened in balcony is a nest. We've listened and listened but haven't heard the babies yet. I think they were still eggs until yesterday. I first noticed the parent birds coming near the eaves some time ago and I told my mom about it but she couldn't see where the nest might be. But just yesterday we all saw the mother bird coming in and out several times. I think maybe her babies have hatched. I talked to Tommy about how birds are our friends not food but I don't think he quite understands. This morning mom let us out on the balcony cuz it was still dark and wouldn't scare the momma bird but then I heard something and got all excited cuz I think I heard the babies. Our mom made us come in so we wouldn't frighten the momma bird if she was trying to leave the nest this early. I'll keep you posted as our bird babies grow.

Wow, baby birds right outside your window! I see lots of big birds, but I have never seen a baby. Thanks for telling us about them.

We can hardly wait for the pictures. We are like Daisy, we have lots of birds but no babies.

We've got birdies, too! They're livin' just under the porch eaves and boy, are they NOISY! Charmee likes watchin' 'em swoop into their nest areas. We hope that they lay their eggs soon so that we can see the baby birdies!

I'm going to let my sister post about her new roo and book--I think my mom has claimed them both, though. They're great! And thanks for the bunny treats, too. Such a fun weekend!

You've got to go see Puff's mom's artwork!
